The Valley’s original wall-to-wall shopping strip, Hunter Street stretches from Pacific Street Newcastle East to the rail overpass at Islington, nearly 4 kms west.
From a street art viewpoint, Hunter Street represents a dwindling collection of venues that are usually vandalized by the drunken throngs, then demolished, increasing the street frontage of rent-a-fence by another 30 metres or so.
